MAIN STREET THEATRE WORKS ANNOUNCES THEIR 2011 SUMMER SEASON AND HOLIDAY SUBSCRIPTION OFFER

Jackson, CA - Main Street Theatre Works announces their 2011 Summer Season at the Kennedy Mine Amphitheatre in Jackson. Opening the summer season is the eccentric and hilarious A Flea in Her Ear, followed by the nostalgic comedy, Leaving Iowa.

A Flea in Her Ear is a comic charade, mixing madness and mayhem for a farcical comedy of errors. When Victor Chandebise's wife suspects him of having an affair, she confides in her good friend Lucienne, who suggests a way to entrap him, but their plan spectacularly misfires, resulting in mistaken identities and comic disaster. A Flea in Her Ear opens at the Kennedy Mine Amphitheatre June 17th thru July 16th.

Next, jump into the family car and ride along with Don Browning in Leaving Iowa, a warm and nostalgic comedy about a middle-aged writer searching for the perfect spot to scatter his father's ashes. As he embarks on this journey, Don relives the summer vacations he spent trapped in the family station wagon as a boy. For anyone who was ever a part of the "Are we there yet?" car vacation generation, this is a journey you don't want to miss. Leaving Iowa hits the road August 5th thru September 3rd.

It's going to be a summer season of laughs, and while it's cold outside now, what better way to warm up the holidays than purchasing a Sizzlin' Summer Season Subscription as a holiday gift. Subscriptions can be purchased in 4-pack of tickets for $60 ~ a savings of 15% off the regular adult ticket price. The 4-pack of tickets can be used for one show, or split between our two summer shows. Or, you can keep two for yourself and give the other two as gifts.
