Making Theatre Accessible

The Sacramento Area Regional Theatre Alliance is proud to offer our YES (Youth Education Scholarship) Program! We believe in the power of theater to transform lives. Whether your student is an experienced theater kid or just exploring the idea of getting involved, the Sacramento theater community has a program for you! From Woodland to Stockton, and Davis to Volcano, there is sure to be a workshop, class, or educational program to fit the needs of you and your student. For Parents


Have you found a class or workshop for your student but find that financial hardship is preventing attendance? SARTA wants to help! Please fill out the form below and we’ll connect you to the theater who can submit the application.

Parent Application

For Theaters


Has a student or parent reached out to you regarding a youth theater program and has expressed financial hardship? Do you know of a student who would love to participate but cannot provide tuition? We want to help! Please email sarta@sarta.com for more info!

FAQ

  • Applicants must be aged 5-17 to qualify for a youth scholarship. 
  • The theater that is administering the program is responsible for submitting the application - we invite parents to fill out the preliminary information form so SARTA can facilitate the final application and award.
  • Tuition funds will be paid directly to the selected theater. 
  •  SARTA will select via committee one (1) scholarship applicant per quarter. Should additional funding become available, more scholarships will be issued. 
  • Submissions must be received by SARTA at least one (1) month prior to enrollment deadline of class/workshop so that selection and funds may be completed in a timely fashion.
