Year-End Giving Campaign!
Help SARTA raise $2000 for youth scholarships, microgrants, and future events! Our campaign kicks off on Giving Tuesday, December 2nd, 2025.
What We Do
As a volunteer-run organization, SARTA works hard to encourage a love of and participation in theatre throughout the Sacramento area and beyond. We want to hold community events and continue to support individuals with a passion for theatre! By supporting us, you'll be helping us support you!
Microgrants
In 2024, SARTA launched our Microgrant program and awarded multiple $500 microgrants to deserving theatre groups. We would love to have the funding to do 1-2 microgrants a quarter, giving back to the smaller theatres and community groups that are working so hard to put on performances and promote lesser-known and new playwrights and actors.
Every donation helps us support our community!
Student Scholarships
Since we've launched our YES program, SARTA has given out thousands of dollars to youth interested in theatre. Parents have been overjoyed with the program as well, and we love giving local youth the opportunity to participate in theatre classes, workshops, and events.
We want to continue encouraging young people to join and participate in theatre, so we need your assistance to ensure that we have the funds to continue providing those scholarships.
Community Events
SARTA has held multiple community events in 2025, including Low-Cost Headshot Days, a Disney-themed cabaret, theatre trivia, and a costume sale! We also teamed up with Sacramento Theatre Con in their inaugural event. We want to bring you even more community events and workshops in 2026!
